Meet the parents
I am definitely looking forward for my vacations in 2008. I felt like I have worked for 400 consecutive days without a break, even the Thanksgiving weekend went by without me knowing it. Unlike the last few times of going back to Hong Kong to visit my family. This time will be different. This time, my bf is coming along to see my family, friends or perhaps my relatives for the first time. It's hard to predict what my parents' reaction will be liked. I never really mentioned much about our relationship until very recently when I have decided to bring him back to see them. Meanwhile, I have to train my bf not to curse too much and to use chopstick to eat instead of spoon.
Buying presents for my parents was also causing us a headache. People always say first time impression is so important, so we have to think of a nice, unique gift, and most importantly, not too cheap. So for weeks, I have been looking for a nice, indoor water fountain for their house warming gift. I have been asking around to see if anyone has a clue of where to find it, but most of them said "Those things are made of China anyways, why would go buy it here? Just buy it in China".... Thanks.... if I would know where to go in China.
After this trip, we are going to continue our "meet the parents" series by going to Hondurus, my bf's hometown during Easter. This is the only time his parents get days off, so I thought it would be nice for him to spend some time with his family. I would also get to see his relatives, his neighborhood and get a taste of his childhood lifestyle. I am actually getting more nervous as the days get closer. I hope everything will work out fine.
