Meet the parents

Today is the "meet the parents" day. I have seen his dad a couple months ago, but this is my first time seeing his mom. It was quite stressful before I see them, because this is the day when I give out the first impression. I was thinking ahead of time how should I act and how should I look.

With him arriving late, I was dare enough to go greet them in their hotel room. They kindly greeted me and gave me a chair to sit. Luckily, I was not a shy person and opened up a lot of topic to talk about. The only thing I noticed is his mom was looking at my pointy high heels once in a while when we are talking, I quickly tried to find a way to hide them. Is she thinking that they are too fashionable or I have a weird taste in style? After all, there is really no point to disguise because it is how I am being a HKnese.

After spending a night with them, his mom is similar to him and his dad, very humble and simple. They don't have a complicated mind trying to "test" me or "question" me. They certainly are very honest in telling their life stories and have nothing to hide. I tried to perform my best too by not "bossing around" and let them take the lead. I thought that worked out pretty well. Hopefully they have postive feedback on me..
