Brain gone wild
I think nintendo is slowly taking my life over. After I took my last "study required" exam last month, my mind went wild because it has so much free space. At the mean time, the Wii launched out and my boyfriend was all crazy about it. I convinced him not to get it until March, because that shall be the time I am done with my exams. Ya.. I know that's very selfish of me, but he got plenty of games in DS to entertain him. However, he couldn't resist the temptation and peer pressure and finally got one for himself. For the first couple of days, we were testing out all the games, and feeling very excited about this sensor remote. We played all the sports... tennis.. boxing..until we sweat The next day, our hands were so sore that we couldn't even lift up a spoon properly.
The worse thing that happened last couple of weeks was my discovery of the game Sudoku. I used to see people playing it and I would think "how boring can this be??" This game is exactly the opposite of "think outside the box". It's just fitting in 1 to 9 in these 9 by 9 boxes, how hard can it be also? Then, there is me, ran across this video game called Brain Age in my boyfriend's DS. In this game, the objective is to train people's brain by a series of thinking, computing, and memorizing games. One of the major categories is Sudoku. During the first couple of times, I skipped it and played the rest, having no interest in playing this dumb dumb game. Then one time, with a little more curiosity, I selected that category just to see what's in here. The next thing I realized I was playing the game in beginner's level. I solved each puzzle one after another and just couldn't stop myself. Since this game is in my boyfriend's DS, he got annoyed because I was playing it non-stop and he is anti-Sudoku. During weekdays when he was not around, I would go online to find Sudoku puzzles. Recently, my co-worker who is also a Sudoku fan told me about Sudoku in LA times website, so it opened another series of puzzles for me.
This weekend my addiction got so bad that I was constantly fighting over the DS with my boyfriend. I even dream of numbers last night floating in space. My goal is to be able to solve all the hard ones, which I haven't been able to accomplish yet.
New year means new TV shows coming up! Beauty and the Geeks is the best reality show ever! Everyone needs to watch it. It is so hilarious to match two opposite characters in one room. I can't wait to see the transformation of the geeks. New season of Apprentice is also coming out tonight. I hope it's going to be better than the last ones. I am also a big fan of MTV channel shows, so I am waiting for Laguna Beach to come out. It is a pathetic show, but somehow I like to see a bunch of rich girls do nothing all day but hooking up with guys, and in bikini half of the days. I guess I was just admiring that type of worry-free lifestyle.
Time to watch Apprentice.
